In Scandinavian mythology, the fearsome beast known as Fenrir was the offspring of the demoniac god Loki and the giantess Angerboda. After he bit off the hand of the god Tyr, he was bound and gagged until Ragnarok, the equivalent of what we call Doomsday. In both Iceland and Norway, poets have prophesied that Fenrir will one day break free and wreak havoc on the world by joining forces with chaos.  I’m not suggesting that any of the occurrences were because of terrorists or Fenrir, but there is certainly chaos.
